Hatha yoga assists and teaches us to learn and understand the totality of our life force which is also called prana. With continuous dedicated practice, we learn how to feel and expand through growth of being. It is then when we begin to access the source of our being and understand our own true nature. A personal Hatha yoga practice has the power to create a positive awakening transformation in our lives. Within Hatha yoga, it is not only the physical practice by which we gain a healthier lifestyle, but also a meditation practice. The heart of Hatha yoga tradition is the deeper seated meditation practices, which enlighten us to our higher self. Combined, the two practices enrich our lives in spirit, mind, and body. Hatha yoga includes postures (asana), breathing techniques (pranayama), purification techniques (shat karma), and energy techniques (mudra and bandha).
